TIME'S UP FOR SECOND-HAND SMOKE
Now that the smoking ban is in full swing there are a few gentle reminders needed to ensure all businesses understand their responsibilities within the law.
Although we have had very little problem with smoking in enclosed premises, there is some confusion with regards to signage. Bilingual signs are needed at each entrance to your premises. This includes staff and delivery entrances not just customer entrances. Please check your signs are bilingual as we have found that many signs have been supplied from English companies and subsequently do not have the Welsh instruction and will therefore not be compliant within Wales.
In addition, the ‘no smoking’ symbol must be displayed in shared company vehicles, this includes any enclosed tractor/JCB cabs.
Signage may be obtained FREE-OF-CHARGE from Ted Henderson on 01978 297068 or alternatively, download/order signs from www.smokingbanwales.co.uk
Good luck and keep up the good work!!
