IMC INVESTS £1.6M IN WREXHAM
IMC, the leading specialist catering equipment manufacturer, has now moved into Unit 1 Abbey Road on Wrexham Industrial Estate. The company manufacturers a range of specialist back bar equipment, refrigeration, vegetable preparation machinery and waste disposal systems for catering establishments in the public and private sectors worldwide.
Following the launch of IMC’s revolutionary F2 bar system last year the company quickly outgrew it’s existing bar products factory in Shotton and needed more space. The Abbey Road facility will allow for expansion as sales of bar systems continue to grow. All the staff have relocated from the old Shotton facility and the move was completed without any disruption to customers.
“We are delighted to have made this investment in Wrexham continuing our long association with NE Wales. This demonstrates once again how committed we are to continuing to manufacture in the UK, and to continuing to grow our business” Tim Tindle, Managing Director of IMC said. “The ease, speed and success of the move has been a testament to the commitment and hard work of our staff. The help we received from the Industrial Estate Co-ordination Unit has also been a great benefit”.
In addition to the Wrexham manufacturing facility IMC has an additional production facility and administration centre in Hertfordshire. It sells its products to over 60 countries world wide with approx 40% of its production being exported. IMC is part of the successful Lincat Group plc.
