Anger over Link Road Delay
Angry reaction to an announcement by the Welsh Assembly Government of a delay to the Wrexham Industrial Estate Link Road
Wrexham Council and Wrexham's business leaders reacted angrily to the delay to a £20m link road to the Wrexham Industrial Estate. More than 7,000 people work at 280 companies on the estate, which is of significant economic improtance to North Wales.
However, the Welsh assembly government has announced work on the road will not begin until 2009, delaying the start date by 12 months.

The current road deals with over 10,000 vehicles a day including thousands of lorries traveling along the A534 to the Wrexham Industrial Estate.
The first part of the link road has been developed and the Welsh assembly has agreed to pay £895,000 towards the second phase.
However, in a letter to the local authority is says it will be delaying the start date until 2009.
